ALL LOVE IS EQUAL
There is a fantasy of what beauty is within the world of romance which is usually focused on heteronormative, cigendered straight couples. This fantasy is perpetuated by photographers and media that attempt to appeal to the mainstream by only showing a male/female couple. The exclusion of other types of romance in the media has been detrimental to the LGBTQ+ community as we have learned that representation is critical to self acceptance. My work in this series strives to show that big romance also exists for LGBT+ couples, the imagery is meant to open the minds of my audience to expand their own definition of beauty.
